Entry 5 - The Long Haul

What's Up Universe!!!

It's Lux, hailing ya'll from the deep depths of the galaxy. And guess what! I'm still alive! Woo! Mission Accomplished!

Unfortunately, now begins the hard part. I've got the daunting task of setting up an infrastructure for our eventual retaliation against the Angels. That means factories, mana pooling, training those who survived the journey. It's not going to be easy, since we only have around 2000 people left, only about 500 of which are currently fit and able to work. But luckily we do have the Life Ark, which had been amassing a huge amount of Magic while we were still living on Earth. We should have enough power to fully construct a base of operations at the very minimum.

Now then, about Alvia and Ayila. I finally reached Ayila through our communication devices. She's making progress, but it's been a very slow, tedious, stressful process. The forcefield around the Sword is incredibly strong, in fact, Ayila has recommended we channel power to her once we have our base set up. That'll be quite the task...Networking Magic from the center of the galaxy to the far reaches while remaining undetected from both human and Angel assets, spies, and informants.

Nonetheless it seems that may be the only way to break the forcefield before the Angels find us.

Ayila has also been struggling with the solitary lifestyle. I really feel for her, but at least I get to check in and talk with her every night before she goes to sleep.

Alvia has had much more success. She's successfully located the Unifier! I tell you, I have never felt more proud. She has really grown up the last few months. Her work ethic, her moral restraint, her resistance to the Darkness within. It's a very admirable accomplishment on all accounts.

Now she says the Unifier is surprisingly back on Earth. Man those humans move fast. They have already humanized Earth in its entirety. With infrastructure, educational institutions, military academies and governing bodies already in place, the humans are quickly preparing for the inevitable war with the Angels. For now the Angels are distracted by the outskirts of the galaxy, satisfied with consuming worlds offering little or no resistance. Soon, however, the Angels will hunger for more, and their primary target will be the motherload of Magic: Earth.

Alvia discovered the Unifier is an orphan who was forced to enroll in a secretive government school ruled by wizards and witches. For those of you who didn't know, wizards and witches are humans who have mastered Magic through the use of wands. Wands are Elven tools used to teach their young the basics of Magic, as they are easier to use than actual life force. The humans figured out that some of them could use wands too, albeit only a very small percentage with a natural affinity towards Magic. Our Unifier was picked up as one of those natural-born wizards and shipped off to Earth for formal training. Lucky for us, Earth is possibly the best place for the Unifier to be right now, since it is a place Alvia knows very well (she can hide in all the secret Elven fortresses and networks). It is also very far away from the war front, a safe haven for the Unifier to grow and train.

So until we are ready to retaliate against the Angels who infected our galaxy, we will leave him there to develop his abilities under the very careful and undetected guidance of Alvia. Who knows, maybe with such limited powers, the humans will come up with more efficient methods of using Magic that we could apply to our eventual military strategies.

Alright, back to work now.

I'll give you and update a little later.

Stay safe out there my friends.

Lux Tenebris
